ONCE UPON A TIME, I SAW PHANTOM USING TAROT CARDS AND WAS LIKE "THAT'S COOL, I SHOULD DRAW THOSE CARDS OUT." However, it came to my attention that I did not particularly like the CLAMP-esque style used on the card in the trailer with Freud and Phantom. They didn't look very...tarot like to me. So I switched it up and modified my own style slightly.
Here I also tried to instill the classic tarot imagery, such as The Hermit with a lamp and The Hierophant with a staff and hand in a specific position (I think it has some religious significance or something). Some of them, like Mercedes, were a little harder--I could only do the tiara, because she has no in game (or out of game) equal of a scepter. :I
1. Aran--The Star
Upright: Hope, faith, inspiration, optimism, insight, spiritual love, pleasure, balance Reverse: Unfulfilled hopes, disappointment, dreams are crushed, bad luck, imbalance
2. Evan--The Hierophant (for the record, this one is fucking perfect for him)
Upright: Mercy, kindness, forgiveness, compassion, conformity, a sense of historical importance, inspiration Reverse: Foolish generosity, errors are repeated, vulnerability, frailty, unorthodoxy
Looks freaking perfect. The border design is a bit dark, isn't it? Tarot cards of Evil! PHANTOM'S A WITCH, BURN THE WITCH, OH WAIT WE ACCIDENTALLY BURNED ARIA, HURR DURR PHANTOM TOO BAD. *don't know why I just wrote that*
eh I GOT INTO TAROT CARDS ALL BECAUSE OF PHANTOM OTL AND I WAS THINKING it might be better if you used thinner lines, or maybe a lighter colour. coz the lines seem to be standing out too much :c
WOW THAT WAS REALLY QUICK I would have used thinner lines, but it's pretty much impossible to make solid lines with thin lines (shaky hands). Plus, if I used thinner lines, I might as well have vectored them--and I don't know how to vector. Granted, I would have LIKED it to be ONLY the colors but the technique is still beyond me. Since I didn't know how to do that, I went an alternative route.
